Taryn’s professional journey didn’t begin in logistics. She started her career in retail, where she held management roles at several stores. While the experience sharpened her communication and leadership skills, she realized it wasn’t the long-term career path she wanted to pursue.
Eventually, she transitioned to working at a frozen goods warehouse, followed by a role that led her to work directly with some of the Interra Global team.
A Natural Fit at Interra Global
Through her previous role, Taryn had the chance to observe Interra Global’s culture firsthand. She recognized the supportive work environment, the strong team dynamic, and the fulfillment the team seemed to find in their roles. Interra Global’s EOS model aligned perfectly with the kind of workplace she sought, so she took a chance and ended up in the right seat.
The Role: Logistics Specialist
As a Logistics Specialist, Taryn tracks incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinates with brokers to assign drivers, and provides real-time support to ensure deliveries go smoothly. She works closely with the accounting team on invoices and shares timely updates with operations and sales as needed.
Her work requires high attention to detail, organization, and communication—skills she has honed throughout her career.
Life at Interra Global
One of the aspects of Interra Global that stands out most to Taryn is the collaborative culture. She appreciates being part of a team where people are always ready to help one another and step in when needed. Three words Taryn used to describe Interra Global are teamwork, family, and innovation. The rest of the team would agree; she’s spot on with that assessment.
Outside the Office
In her free time, Taryn enjoys reading, especially fantasy and supernatural fiction. She loves immersing herself in different worlds and stories, offering a refreshing escape from day-to-day routines. She also dabbles in writing and drawing, and while she doesn’t have as much time for art these days, creativity remains an essential part of her life.
Her favorite holiday is Halloween, a tradition she grew up celebrating with elaborate family decorations. While it’s more low-key now, she still enjoys decorating her home and keeping the spirit alive.
When it comes to food, she’s a fan of thin-crust pizza with extra sauce, basil, and garlic, a simple favorite that never disappoints.
Favorite Interra Global Product
Taryn finds the Vacuum Adsorption Vessel (VAV) particularly interesting. Its unique design and operation caught her early attention, and learning how it works has been a highlight of her time with the company.
