BASF DD-6 is a high-surface-area, peroxide-grade activated alumina developed for hydrogen peroxide production. It supports deep oxidation and surface-area reversion while helping reduce quinone retention on spent alumina.

Product Description

BASF DD-6 is a peroxide-grade activated alumina engineered specifically for use in hydrogen peroxide production. Its exceptionally high surface area supports deep oxidation and the reversion of hydrogenated surface area while helping reduce quinone retention on spent alumina. These performance characteristics make DD-6 well suited for working-solution purification and regeneration processes where consistent adsorption performance and process efficiency are critical.

DD-6 typically contains 92% aluminum oxide and provides a surface area of approximately 380 m²/g, a total pore volume of 0.52 cc/g, and a bulk density of 40 lb/ft³. The product is available in 8 × 14, 14 × 28, and 28 × 48 Tyler mesh sizes to support different process and equipment requirements. Packaging options include bulk super sacks and steel drums, depending on particle size.
