BASF F200's uniform sphere size, high crush strength, low abrasion, and high surface area support efficient bed loading, controlled pressure drop, reduced dust generation, and cyclic adsorption service. Interra currently offers BASF F200 in 1/8-inch, 3/16-inch, and 1/4-inch nominal sphere sizes.
BASF F200 PRODUCT BENEFITS
Uniform sphere size
BASF F200’s uniform size and sphericity help limit adsorbent segregation during pneumatic loading. More consistent bed loading can reduce channeling and support effective use of the adsorption tower.
High crush strength
High crush strength allows rapid pneumatic loading and supports use in taller adsorption beds. BASF also identifies F200 as resistant to amine attack and suitable for drying certain acid-containing gases and liquids, including carbon-dioxide-containing streams.
Low abrasion and dust generation
F200 has a typical abrasion loss of 0.1 weight percent across the listed particle sizes. Low abrasion helps limit dust during transportation, loading, and operation, reducing the risk of pressure-drop increases and downstream valve or filter plugging.
High water-adsorption capacity
F200 combines high surface area with a tailored pore structure to support dynamic water adsorption. With suitable tower design and effective regeneration, it can support low-moisture outlet and dew-point requirements.
