In 2020, BBI and the RNG Coalition introduced the North American Renewable Natural Gas Map. Listed on the map are the renewable natural gas facilities operating or under construction in the United States and Canada. Included are more than 200 projects and their operating details.
Interra Global became a sponsor of the map with the publication of the 2022 edition. In sponsoring the map, we are promoting RNG knowledge and our support for the many partners we have in the biogas industry. Of the 255 facilities listed on the Renewable Natural Gas Map, Interra Global works with over 60%. As the sole provider of FerroSorp® H2S removal media and the VAV bulk media vessel, Interra Global offers a comprehensive H2S removal solution for dairies, landfills, and food waste sites.
Interra Global is proud to work with many RNG facilities converting waste into usable natural gas. Our work in biogas started in 2015 with the introduction of FerroSorp to the United States RNG market. Beginning with only a handful of sites, we are now providing a combination of FerroSorp and VAVs to sites throughout the United States. We introduced the VAV to the market in 2020, and demand has grown over 200% since the first installation.
