Description

Promoted Chloride Adsorbent, aSORB DCL76,  is a white spherical surface modified adsorbent that features a higher adsorption capacity than our DCL75 product, making it ideal for the reliable removal of HCl from liquid and gas streams to levels well below 0.1 ppmv. aSORB DCL76 has an excellent chloride capacity due to its high degree of macro-porosity and its bi-metallic properties. The combination of proprietary manufacturing techniques and superior mass transfer properties provides for rapid adsorption and maximum service life with fewer recharge requirements. Furthermore, the low alumina content and resultant low available alumina surface area minimizes the tendency for organochloride and green oil by-product formation.

aSORB DCL76 is used to remove trace levels of hydrogen chloride by chemical reaction from refinery liquid streams and gases at temperatures ranging from ambient to 220°C (450°F).

Storage

Store aSORB® in a dry location to prevent premature water adsorption. Do not store super sacks outside; ultraviolet radiation and other adverse conditions will negatively impact its integrity and may eventually cause the bag to fail. Reseal packages after opening to prevent contamination and unintended water adsorption. We recommend that you rotate stock so the oldest material is used first.
