Interra Global Joins the Canadian Biogas Association

PARK RIDGE, Ill., March 25, 2024 - Interra Global has joined the Canadian Biogas Association (CBA), deepening its commitment to the biogas industry and supporting the continued growth of biogas and renewable natural gas (RNG) in Canada.

The membership follows the company's 2022 entry into the American Biogas Council as its business grew in the United States. With its Canadian customer base expanding, building relationships and a presence in Canada was the natural next step.

The Canadian Biogas Association, established in 2008, is a member-driven industry organization that supports the needs of Canada's biogas and RNG sector and champions policy and programs that position the industry for growth.

Biogas is a renewable replacement for fossil fuels, and RNG substitutes directly for natural gas in heating and electricity. Creating RNG from biogas takes a multistep process that removes contaminants from the raw gas. Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) removal is one of those steps, and it is the step Interra Global serves: H₂S is extremely corrosive to process equipment and highly toxic to breathe even at low concentrations.
