aSORB® DCL

Promoted Chloride Adsorbent

aSORB® DCL is a white spherical surface modified adsorbent with a high adsorption capacity and porosity. aSORB® DCL chloride absorbent can be used for the removal of HCl from liquid and gas streams. aSORB® DCL has high capacity for the removal of HCL from refinery liquid streams such as naphtha.

aSORB® DCL chloride absorbent provides reliable removal of HCl to levels well below 0.1 ppmv, and have excellent chloride capacity due to high degree of macro-porosity and bi-metallic properties of the absorbent. The combination of proprietary manufacturing techniques provides for rapid adsorption and superior mass transfer properties which provides maximum service life and reduces recharge frequency. The low alumina content and resultant low available alumina surface area minimize tendency for organo-chlorides and green oil by-product formation.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

Removal of trace levels of hydrogen chloride by chemical reaction from refinery liquid streams and gasses at temperatures ranging from ambient to 220°C (450°F).

STORAGE

Store aSORB® in a dry location to prevent premature water adsorption. Reseal packages after opening to prevent contamination and unintended water adsorption.  We recommend that you rotate stock so oldest material is used first.
